Membership Pathway

The IPR Cell has a structured membership process that aims to develop competence and leadership in intellectual property law: -

Junior Members: This entry-level post is open to students in their V-I and III-I years at Government Law College in Mumbai and allows for active participation in the Cell's projects. Junior Members will receive experience in various facets of intellectual property law through workshops, competitions, and collaborative projects.
Junior Core Members (JC): At the conclusion of the academic year, selected Junior Members will be elevated to Junior Core Members. In this capacity, members will be given more tasks, such as event management, research, and content development, which will help the IPR Cell expand its reach and influence.
Senior Core Members (SC): Outstanding Junior Core Members will be promoted to Senior Core Members. These members will be empowered to lead within the Cell, taking responsibility for many of the strategic initiatives, supervising Junior Members, and defining the vision and strategy of the Cell.

Eligibility Guidelines

Applicants wishing to join the IPR Cell as Junior Members must possess the following qualifications:

Educational Qualification: Students of V-I or III-I at Government Law College, Mumbai are eligible to apply.
Interest in the Field: The applicant should demonstrate a good understanding and interest in intellectual property law, specifically how it operates in the global market.
Personal Attributes: The IPR Cell seeks all-rounded individuals who show a robust intellectual appetite, devotion, or passion for the discipline, and the willingness to improve professionally.

How To Join

Application Submission: At the start of each academic year, the IPR Cell will make available the membership application form on our official website. To begin the enrolling process, interested students must fill out an application form.
Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be asked to an interview to examine their motivation, legal knowledge, and compatibility with the IPR Cell's goals.
Final Selection: Successful candidates will be notified of their selection and will begin their journey as Junior Members following indoctrination. Upon admission, members will attend an orientation session where they will learn about the IPR Cell's ongoing projects, resources, and opportunities to contribute to the committee's activities.
